Displaying Relationships in a Visual Hierarchy

You can use the Relationships tab to display relationships in a visual hierarchy. This enables you to easily view how all your scenarios within different plans are aggregated, creating child, parent, and grandparent planned scenarios. You can create as many plans as is necessary to represent the hierarchical levels within your forecasting system. When a relationship is created, it automatically appears on the Relationships tab with the following details: plan name, scenario name, lock status, and default Planning unit. You can drill into more information by clicking the hyperlinks, allowing you to view further details and modify or delete relationships.

To display relationships:

  1. Navigate to your desired plan.
  2. Click on the Relationships tab.
Notes:
  • To update the Relationships tab with any new changes, click the Refresh icon.
  • You can zoom in and out to adjust your view for better readability and focus by clicking the Zoom In and Zoom Out icons respectively.
  • Only ascendent and decedent relationships, such as parent or child, appear on the Relationships tab.
