Project Gantt Lightning Component Fields
The PSA Project Gantt Lightning component includes the following fields and buttons.
Task Grid Fields
Default fields are always displayed in the Project Gantt task grid. Administrators can add fields to a Project Task field set, and then select the field set in the Custom Columns Field Set field in the Lightning App Builder. The fields in the field set are displayed together with the default fields.
Default Fields
The following default fields are displayed.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| WBS |
The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) number. Identifies the hierarchy of the project tasks within a project. This is generated automatically from an existing project hierarchy, and updated automatically as you change the hierarchy. WBS enables you to report on project tasks and their data. Each WBS number is saved to the WBS Element Number field on the relevant Project Task object. |
| Name | The name of the project task. You can enter any name up to a maximum of 80 characters. |
| Predecessors |
Predecessors are the project tasks that other project tasks are dependent on to start or finish. Successor tasks are project tasks that are dependent on other project tasks to start or finish. There are four types of dependency:
For more information, see also Managing Dependencies Between Project Tasks. |
| Successors | |
| Assigned Resources | Assigned resources or roles for the project task. |
Summary Task Fields
If you are using numerical fields in a selected custom field set, you can only edit the values for child tasks. These values are then rolled up to their read-only summary task.
The following fields are supported.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Estimated Hours |
The estimated hours for the project task. |
For more information, see Project Task Field Sets and Project Task Assignment Field Sets, Project Gantt Lightning Component Properties and Project Task Fields.

| Search |
Searches for project tasks based on the task name. When you start typing characters from anywhere in the name, PSA searches the tasks loaded into Gantt and narrows down the search results as you type. Parent tasks are always displayed to provide context for child tasks returned in a search. |
