Resource Details Panel Overview

The Resource Details panel enables you to view the details of suggested and matched resources on the following:

  • Resourcing tab on resource requests
  • Resource Request Staffer page
  • Resource Optimizer page

The panel includes the following sections.

Credentials and Requested Skills

Under the Credentials or Requested Skills headings, and when you hover over a resource from the Suggested Resource or Matched Resource columns on the Resource Request Staffer and Resource Optimizer pages, and the Resourcing tab on a resource request, the resource's role, region, practice, and group are displayed. Each credential is displayed with an indicator:

  • Matching criteria are displayed at the top and are indicated by Match.
  • Non-matching criteria are displayed below and are indicated by Nonmatch.

Skills and certifications are displayed underneath with the following indicators:

  • Skills and certifications that the resource has recorded as certified are indicated by Certified.
  • Skills and certifications marked as aspirational for the resource are indicated by Aspiration.

Additionally, when you hover over a resource, the following icons are displayed next to skills and certifications:

  • Skills that match the required minimum rating are displayed at the top and are indicated by Match.
  • Skills that do not match the required minimum rating are displayed below and indicated by Nonmatch.

Details

You can view any detail fields that have been configured on the selected resource's contact record.

By default, the Region, Practice, and Group fields are displayed. An administrator can add additional read-only and lookup fields to display in the Details section.

Assignment History

The Assignment History section displays the five most recent past or closed assignments. You can view the name of skills that assignments have in common with the current resource request, regardless of rating, essential or desirable status, or match Any Skill/All Skills criteria.

The assignments are also sorted based on the number of matched skills, such that the assignments with all the requested skills in common are displayed on the top.

Note:

The name of the skills in common is displayed only when there are requested skills present on the resource request. If there are no requested skills on the resource request, the Skills option is not displayed in the filters drop-down. Similarly, if there is no account on the resource request, the Account option is not available in the filters drop-down.

The filter selection is retained even if you change the resource so that you can compare the resources on the same criteria.

You can filter the assignments by the account and skills present on the resource requests. Also, to view the details of all the past or closed assignments a resource has worked on, you can click View History.

The Work History window opens. You can see details about past work experience from the assignments such as:

  • Assignment Name
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Billable
  • Hours Submitted
  • Region
  • Practice
  • Group
  • Account
  • Status
  • Project
  • Requested Skills
  • Role

You can group the assignments displayed. By default, the assignments are sorted by the most recent start date.

The assignments can be sorted even after applying the groupings and you can see criteria used to group the assignments on top of the grid. By default, the assignments are sorted by start date even when grouped, with the most recent assignment on top of the group.

Once grouped, the grouping order can be switched between ascending and descending alphabetically.

Note:

All the columns available in the grid are sortable except Requested Skills. The default sorting order is by start date and the most recent assignments are displayed first.

Availability

In the Availability section, you can view daily availability in months in the calendar for a selected resource. Daily availability data is calculated from the resource's assignments and resource requests, and their work calendar. Availability information is updated accordingly when a resource is held or assigned. The following dots represent daily resource availability.

Daily Resource Availability
Dot Resource Percentage Allocation For the Day
No dots Holiday or day with zero working hours according to the selected resource's work calendar.
Three non-colored dots No hours allocated.
One blue dot More than 0% but less than 50% allocated.
Two blue dots More than or equal to 50% but less than 100% allocated.
Three blue dots Exactly 100% allocated.
Three red dots Over 100% allocated.

When you hover over a day, the following data is shown for the selected resource derived from their work calendar, holidays, assignments, and resource requests:

  • Available Hours
  • Assigned Hours
  • Held Hours
  • Non-Working Days

When you click a day in the calendar, available, assigned, and held hours are displayed in the Resource Schedule section, as well as the assignments and held resource requests.

Note:

Logged hours are shown in the Availability calendar for non-working days only when the value of the logged hours for the non-working days is greater than zero, or less than zero, as is the case when time is negatively logged. This scenario can occur if a resource has worked overtime on a day on which they were not scheduled to work.

Resource Schedule

You can view details of assignments and resource requests for a selected resource that fall fully or partially within the date range of the resource request selected in the Matched Resource Requests or Unmatched Resource Requests grid.

By default, both assignments and resource requests are displayed. An administrator can hide the resource requests.

If you do not want to display any resource requests and assignments with zero hours that are linked to the resource, select Hide Zero Hour Commitments.

Note:

Depending on your date range, some resource requests or assignments with one or more hours might be hidden from display. This scenario can occur if, for example, your date range covers a weekend for which no hours are assigned, or if you use zero hour assignments to link resources to projects without scheduling any work.

To display information when you hover over an assignment or a resource request, an administrator can set up the fields that are displayed.

For more information on the relevant field sets, see the following:

The utilization is also displayed. This is the amount of time the resource is required to work on an assignment or resource request as a percentage of their working time. This is calculated using the resource's work calendar and the date range displayed. An administrator can make the schedule time to display in hours. This is calculated using the assignment or resource request's schedule and the date range selected in the Filters panel.

For the selected resource's assignments and resource requests within the filtered date range, a summary bar shows the following:

  • Hours that are available for scheduling
  • Assigned hours
  • Held hours
Note:

When a resource's scheduled time is shown as a percentage, the summary bar still shows the values as hours. If resource requests are not displayed, held hours are not displayed.

An administrator can control whether a resource's accumulated logged hours are displayed for the selected date range. By default, logged hours are not displayed.
