Matching Resources in Resource Request Staffer

If there are matched resource requests displayed on the Match Results tab, the Match Results tab opens automatically. For more information, see Match Results Tab.

Note:

If you match resources to resource requests when there are matched resource requests displayed on the Match Results tab, the resource requests will have their matched resources cleared. Consequently, the resource requests will be moved to the Open Requests tab.

To match resources in Resource Request Staffer:

  1. Go to the Resource Request Staffer tab.
  2. [Optional] From the Open Requests tab, click Open the Filters panel to open the Filters panel and complete the following steps:
    1. Select a start date. By default, the From date is today's date. Leave the To field blank to include all resource requests that have a start date in the future.
    2. [Optional] Complete any remaining fields. For more information, see Resource Request Staffer Fields.
    3. Click Close the Filters panel to close the Filters panel.
  3. [Optional] Click Open the Settings panel to open the Settings panel and define the order in which resource requests are matched and the weightings of the matching criteria.
  4. [Optional] Click Close the Settings panel to close the Settings panel.
  5. [Optional] Reorder the resource requests using by dragging and dropping them using . The displayed order is used to determine the priority of the resource requests during the matching process.
  6. Select the resource requests that you want to match resources to. You can select a maximum of 2,000 resource requests.

    Tip:

    Click Show Selected in the grid's toolbar to display only selected resource requests. To display all resource requests again, click Show All. You can also group resource requests and select the group's checkbox to select all of the resource requests within the group. This will override any manually reordered resource requests.

  7. Click Match Resources. While resources are being matched, all actions are disabled. You can continue working on another page.
  8. [Optional] Click Cancel to cancel the matching process.

You are notified when the process is complete. If any errors occur, the notification and email contains a link to an app log, which you can give to your administrator to help them investigate the issue.

The matched resource requests are removed from the Open Requests tab and displayed on the Match Results tab. The resource requests that are not matched remain in the Open Requests tab. You can view the matched resource's details by clicking the name of the matched resource in the Match Results tab.

Clearing Matched Resources

You can clear resources matched to resource requests. To do so:

  1. From the Match Results tab, select the resource requests that you want to clear matched resources from.
  2. Click Clear Selected. Cleared resource requests are removed from the Match Results tab and displayed on the Open Requests tab if they match the filter criteria.
