Estimate Pricing Modifiers Overview

Estimate Pricing Modifiers provide a centrally managed approach to adjusting the price of your estimate, and estimate product instances. These manually defined adjustments enable you to implement consistent pricing strategies and provide estimators with the flexibility to customize quotes.

On the Estimate Pricing Modifiers tab, an administrator can create and maintain a comprehensive catalog of organization-wide pricing modifiers. You can add pricing modifiers to your estimate or estimate product instances on the Related tab of your estimate.

You must add a billing date to your pricing modifiers, to track when they will be applied to the estimate. The billing date represents when the pricing modifier will be displayed in the Estimate Financial Summary, but is applied to the whole estimate, or estimate product. Pricing modifiers are added as a percentage value of the total amount.

Each pricing modifier added to an estimate is displayed as its own row in the Estimate Financial Summary to enable you to view the impact each modifier has on your estimate. The overall impact of all pricing modifiers on your estimate and estimate product instances are displayed in the Total Pricing Modifiers Amount row.

Pricing modifiers are copied when cloning an estimate, or creating an estimate using templates.
