Entering a Value in a Table Cell

Table cells contain the numeric values for the plan. You can enter a value or create a formula to calculate the value dynamically.

To add a value to a table cell:

  1. Open the plan scenario that contains the cell to which you want to add the value.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • Double-click the cell.
    • Select the cell and press Enter on your keyboard.
  3. Depending on your requirements, do one of the following:

    • Enter a numeric value.

      Note:
      • You can enter a numeric value with up to nine digits after the decimal point.
      • If unit standardization is enabled for the plan, the value you enter in the cell is in the standardization unit. When you save the changes, this value is converted back into the original unit of the cell using the relevant rates from the related rate table. However, the formula bar displays the original value of the cell. If you edit the value in the formula bar, the value in the cell is automatically converted to the standardization unit. For more information, see Standardizing Planning Units in a Plan.
    • Build a formula using builder mode. For more information, see Adding Calculations to Plan Cells in Builder Mode.
    • Enter a formula using text mode. For more information, see Adding Calculations to Plan Cells in Text Mode.
  4. Click Save.
