Asynchronous Framework Tracker Overview
The Asynchronous Framework Tracker app page enables you to monitor the asynchronous processes from a single location.
You can:
- Provides a hierarchical view of the asynchronous job groups and their associated asynchronous job records.
- View the asynchronous queueable job record details by clicking on the asynchronous job record name.
- Quickly find jobs by their asynchronous job record name, process description, callable name, status, finalizer status, created or finished time, or the dependency count of async job groups on which any job depends.
- Access a complete list of all jobs using the asynchronous framework.
- View system-managed asynchronous jobs, such as the monitor job, dead job sweeper, and so on, which are typically hidden.
- View the overall status of asynchronous job records at the time of page load over the past 24 hours using the KPI cards.
For more information about asynchronous job groups, see Async Job Group Overview.
Viewing Asynchronous Jobs
To view the details of asynchronous job groups and their associated asynchronous job records in the hierarchy, click the asynchronous job group or it associated record on the Asynchronous Job Tracker app page. The details are displayed in the Async Job Record Details panel.
In the Asynchronous Framework Tracker's toolbar:
- Use the search box in the toolbar to search for a job record. The jobs that contain the search term you enter are listed automatically.
-
to refresh the tracker to display any changes -
open and close the Filters panel, where you can filter the displayed async job records
On the grid, the asynchronous job status and finalizer status are displayed:
-
indicates that the asynchronous job is either enqueued or not started because another job is currently in progress and running. -
indicates that the asynchronous job has failed to complete due to an error. -
indicates that the asynchronous job is completed. -
indicates that the asynchronous job is in progress and running.
Viewing Asynchronous Job Group or Job Record Details
The Record Details panel lets you view the details of the selected job group or job record, as well as the dependencies on the job group, all without leaving the current page.
To view the Record Details panel, perform the following steps:
- On the Asynchronous Job Tracker app page, select the asynchronous job group or job record.
- Click
.
To hide the Record Details panel, click
on the panel or click
again.
Details Section
The Details section displays information about the asynchronous job group or job record. By default, you'll see the following fields: Async Job Group Name, Canceled, Created By ID, Job Group Description, Last Modified By ID, and Root Async Job Group.
An administrator can use the Lightning App Builder to configure which fields display. For more information, see FDN Asynchronous Framework Tracker Lightning Component Fields.
Dependencies Section
The Dependencies section shows the list of job groups with a count on which the selected Job Group is dependent. If a job group doesn't have any dependencies, no job groups are displayed.
KPI Cards
KPI cards provide you with important details about your asynchronous job KPIs and represent the status in different colors:
The following cards are available in the Asynchronous Framework Tracker:
-
Total jobs scheduled in the last 24 hours: The count of async jobs that are completed, error, and queued in the last 24 hours. -
Jobs completed in the last 24 hours: The count of async jobs completed in the last 24 hours. -
Jobs errored in the last 24 hours: The count of async jobs that errored in the last 24 hours. -
Jobs currently queued: The count of async jobs currently queued.
The cards are updated when you save new changes in the Asynchronous Framework Tracker grid.
Filtering Asynchronous Jobs
Filters enable you to focus the asynchronous job groups and job records displayed in the tracker so that only the asynchronous jobs you want to view are displayed. To filter asynchronous jobs in the tracker, click
. For more information about:
- Using the filters panel, see Filtering Jobs in Asynchronous Framework Tracker.
- The fields available in the Filters panel, see the FDN Asynchronous Framework Tracker Lightning Component Fields.
