New Features and Enhancements in PSA AI Agent Service Winter 2026

The following new features have been introduced in the Winter 2026 release of PSA AI Agent Service.

Improve Assignment Reallocation Using AI Agents

We have enhanced the assignment reallocation using AI agents. You can now provide the agent with a resource and a time period. The agent provides you with a reallocation plan for the resource's assignments with the most suitable action for each assignment. This enables you to reallocate assignments more efficiently.

You can reallocate assignments using the Certinia Staffing agent or other AI agents.

For more information, see Certinia Staffing Agent Overview and Reallocating Assignments Using the Certinia Staffing Agent.

Certinia Project Assistant Agent

Note:

This feature is part of the Certinia Early Adopter Program. This program is only available to a limited number of customers. For more information, contact your Customer Success Manager.

The Certinia Project Assistant Agent is designed to streamline project management, focusing specifically on milestone and timecard management. It addresses common challenges faced by project managers and offers practical solutions to overcome them.

This agent provides a comprehensive view of project health by:

  • Using approved actual hours associated with the milestone, directly from the timecards against it, provides an up-to-date picture of the milestone's logged hours.
  • Checking the milestone status to ensure it is in the correct status based on defined criteria that check the status compared to date, hours, and approval.
  • Flag any milestones associated with the project that are at risk of being overdue, have finished late, or should be approved. It also monitors milestones against their target end dates.
  • Highlights the progress of a milestone by comparing the actual hours worked to the planned hours as of today. If the milestone is on track, the project manager will be highlighted by any issues by checking whether the actual hours fall within a 5% threshold above or below the planned hours.
  • Query tasks associated with each milestone and compare their individual end dates with the milestone's target end date. This process identifies tasks that are at risk of impacting the milestone's timeline.
  • Query the status of incomplete or submitted timecards for the last 7 days for specific projects. Helps identify which resources need to submit their timecards and provides the information the Project Manager needs to contact them.

Ensure that project names are matched partially. If only one project matches, select that project. If there are multiple matches, present them for selection. Return an error message if no projects match.

  • Query the timecards submitted for approval in the last 7 days and compare them to the scheduled hours for each resource. Highlight any discrepancies between the submitted hours and the planned hours.

The agent provides information for a specific project by name or for the project currently open, making it a highly contextual and efficient tool.

The primary benefit of the Certinia Project Assistant Agent is its ability to highlight areas of concern that require a project manager's attention. By providing this information and detailed analyses, it shifts project management from a reactive approach to a proactive one, ultimately improving project success rates.
