Billing Central Settings

The following settings are available to configure external tax calculation settings in Billing Central. You can access these settings from the Tax Calculation Settings page and Billing Central Task Launcher.

Calculate Tax with Avalara: Scope Size

Maximum number of billing documents to be processed in one go when calculating tax with Avalara AvaTax.

Note:

The highest value you can enter is 100.

To calculate or commit tax for multiple billing documents when the ERP/Logging.ERP Core.Avalara publication is enabled in your org, ensure that the value is 1.

Disable External Tax Breakdown Storage Indicates that external tax services do not automatically create tax breakdown records when calculating tax on billing documents.
Summary Tax Code The ID of a tax code that represents summarized tax on a billing document line item. A valid tax code with the same ID must exist on the Tax Codes tab of Foundations.
Use Mappings Component for External Tax

Indicates that the configuration in the related FDN Mappings component is used for external tax calculation.

You can deselect this option at any time if you want to use the default process, for example, to process extremely high volumes of data.

You can view or update the mappings from the Manage External Tax Calculation Mappings link on the Billing Central Task Launcher.

Billing Central settings buttons
Buttons Description
Manage Tax Mappings Displays the external window to select and manage external tax mappings. For more information, see Customizing Avalara AvaTax Tax Calculation Mappings.
Save Saves all the custom settings of the Billing Central Settings.

Tax Calculation Settings Tab

Use these settings on the Tax Calculation Settings tab to change the behavior of the connections between Foundations and the Avalara AvaTax tax calculation service.
