Units of Measure Fields

The Units of Measure object includes the following fields.

Key: * – Mandatory field

Units of Measure Fields
Field   Description
Base Unit   When selected, the unit is the base unit of the type. All other units of the same type can be compared to it or are derived from it. For example, this can be your corporate currency. If the unit type is for time, the base unit might be hours.
Code * The unique code that contains between three and five characters that identifies the unit of measure. For example, EUR, hrs, or days. This can be the ISO code that represents the unit.
Decimal Precision

The number of decimal places displayed on plan cells that have the unit applied to them. This must be between zero and two. If a value contains more digits after the decimal point, it is rounded in the plan table.

Note:

This does not control the maximum number of digits after the decimal point that a numeric value can contain. The limit is always nine, regardless of this field.

Symbol Prefix   The symbol displayed before values in this unit, for example, $, £, or €.
