Registering a Lookup Filter

To register a lookup filter, you must have the API Enabled and View Setup Configuration administrative permissions. You must also have read access to the associated SObject and field. If you do not have the required permissions, a system error occurs when you attempt to register the lookup filter.

To register a lookup filter:

1. Do one of the following:
   • On the Foundations and Integrations Task Launcher page, under Configuration and Data Management, click Manage Lookup Filters.
   • From the App Launcher, go to the Lookup Filters page.
2. Click New. The New Lookup Filter window opens.
3. In the Namespace field, select the package namespace that the lookup filter applies to.
4. In the SObject field, select the object that contains the lookup field.
5. In Field, select the lookup field that you want to filter.
6. Click Register.

A message confirms that the registration was completed and the record was created.

Note:

Only lookup fields that have at least one filter item defined and have a status of "Active" are available for selection.
