Comments Overview

The Comments feature provides a centralized way to view and manage comments directly on your project task records.

Using the dedicated Comments panel, you can easily collaborate and track task-specific conversations without leaving the Project Gantt or the Project Task Board. You can access this panel by clicking the Comments button directly on the Project Gantt toolbar.

The Comment object has an Org-Wide Defaults setting of Private. Therefore, by default, you can view only your own comments. Administrators can view all comments across the organization, and they can grant automatic access to other users through role hierarchies or by creating sharing rules. Additionally, you can manually share a specific comment record with other users by navigating to the record and using the standard sharing actions.
