Updating Exchange Rates for Services Forecasting

The rates in the Fixed Currency Exchange Rates rate table aren't updated automatically. You can update the rates manually to keep currency conversions in your forecasts accurate.

Tip:

We recommend reviewing and updating the rates periodically, for example, at the start of your financial year.

You can update the rates directly in the rate table, or by importing an updated file.

Editing Rates Directly

To manually edit a rate:

  1. From the Rate Tables tab, open the Fixed Currency Exchange Rates rate table.
  2. Click the rate that you want to update.
  3. Enter the new rate.
  4. Repeat steps 2–3 for each rate that you want to update.
  5. In the rate table toolbar, click Save.

Importing Rates from a File

To import updated rates from an XLSX file:

  1. Open the plan scenariorate table that you want to import the XLSX file to.
  2. Click Import from XLSX.

  3. Click Upload Files and select the XLSX file that you want to import.

    Tip:

    Alternatively, you can drag the file and drop it into the File area.

  4. If the file contains multiple sheets, select the sheet that you want to import.
  5. If you want to replace the entire plan tablerate table with the contents of the file, select Overwrite Existing Cells. Otherwise, leave this deselected.

  6. Click Import.

    Depending on your selection in step 5, the plan tablerate table is updated as follows:

    • If you left Overwrite Existing Cells deselected, the following happens:

      • Cells that exist in both the plan tablerate table and the sheet are updated with the values from the sheet.
      • Cells that exist in the sheet but not the plan tablerate table are created in the plan tablerate table.
      • Cells that introduce a column that doesn't already exist in the plan tablerate table are inserted in alphabetical order relative to the existing columns, instead of being added after them.
      • Cells that exist in the plan tablerate table but not in the sheet remain unchanged.
    • If you selected Overwrite Existing Cells, the entire plan tablerate table is replaced with the information from the sheet.
  7. In the plan tablerate table toolbar, click Save.
