Assigning Resources Directly by Name

1. Click Assign Resource on the Assignments related list for the project to which you want to assign resources.
   
   
2. On the Assign Resource to Project page, complete the fields described in "Assign Resource to Project Fields".
   Tip

   

   When assigning a resource on the Assign Resource to Project page you can create the assignment with the resource's Cost Rate Amount and Currency. To do this, clear the Use Default Cost Rate checkbox and select and Resource Currency.

   A schedule is created, based on the scheduling strategy you selected.

3. Click Create Assignment.

   The Assignment Edit page appears.

4. Make the changes you want as described in "Assignment Detail Fields".
5. Click Save.
