Creating a Milestone

To create a new milestoneA fixed target, which when achieved, can be billed to the customer for a fixed fee or by logging time against it.:

  1. Click New Milestone on the project's related list
  2. Enter the fields as described in "Milestone Fields".
  3. Assign project resources to the milestone. You can do this by editing the Milestone field on a current or new assignmentConnection between a resource and a project..
Note
If you do not assign the resources, they will not be able to log their time against the milestone.
