Setting up the Resource and Project Planners

The enhanced editions of the Resource and Project Planners, introduced in FinancialForce PSA Version 11.1, are no longer in pilot. Carry out the following steps if you want to use them in your organization.

Enabling Default Access

You must enable the new editions of the Resource and Project Planners if you want users to access them instead of the classic versions.

1. From Setup, click Develop | Custom Settings.
2. Click Manage on the "Planners - Project" custom setting.
3. Click Edit to view the Edit Planners - Project page.
4. Select the Use New Project Planner checkbox to enable the new Project Planner in your organization.
5. Click Save.
6. Repeat steps 1–5 for the "Planners - Resource" custom setting to also enable the new Resource Planner in your organization.

Granting Class Access

If you haven't already done so, grant access to the Visualforce class pse.PlannerScheduler in order for your users to access the enhanced editions of the Resource and Project Planners.

Adding Translations for your Users

You can internationalize the labels used throughout the Resource and Project Planners to suit your global users.

• Use the Translation Workbench to override the custom labels used throughout with translated versions.
• Ensure that your users' personal language settings align with the translated custom labels you want them to see.
• Translation Workbench is an optional setting only available in multi-language organizationA deployment of the Salesforce/FinancialForce applications with a defined set of licensed users.
