Resource Settings

You can control the behavior of resources and resource fields using the Resources configuration groupA collection of configuration options contained in the configuration groups tab that defines behaviour of a FinancialForce PSA object or feature.. Use these settings to configure behavior.

Field	Description
Allow Global Resources	Indicates whether resources can be global. When a resource is marked as global they can fill in a timecard for any project.
close-assignments-for-expense-when-resource-inactivated	Indicates whether the assignments associated with a resource are automatically closed for expense entry when the Active checkbox on that resource is cleared.
close-assignments-for-time-when-resource-inactivated	Indicates whether the assignments associated with a resource are automatically closed for time entry when the Active checkbox on that resource is cleared.
Default Work Calendar Hierarchy	Work calendar to be inherited by a resource when it is created and the Work Calendar field is left blank. You can set this to Region__c, Practice__c or Group__c.
Default Work Hours Per Day	The org-wide default for the standard work hours per day where this is not specified in a resource's work calendar. This is used in the conversion ratio between hourly and daily rates for the resource's assignments.
Use is Resource Flag	Indicates whether only contacts with the Is Resource option selected are to be used in resource logic such as defaulting work calendars and working with current time periods. The default value is true.
