Enhanced Plans Overview

On the enhanced Plan Detail page a Plan Details pane, Product pane and a collapsible Totals banner is shown within the Product pane when you view the details of a plan. On the Plan Details pane you can view and edit the details of the plan. On the product pane you can view, add, edit and delete the products. When you make changes to the plan, the totals update to reflect the changes.

You can create a contract from an active plan from this page.

If you want to expand or collapse the Plan Detail pane, click Expand Details Pane Icon or Collapse Details Pane Icon depending on whether you want to expand or collapse the pane.

Custom Buttons

Custom buttons are supported in the button bar. You might need to click the  icon to access buttons that cannot fit in the current window size.

Custom buttons to invoke Visualforce pages must be implemented using the workaround described in Invoking a Visualforce Page from a Custom Button because of a current platform issue.

Notes:

Custom buttons are only available if they have been added to the page layout that is assigned to you for the Plan object.

Custom Javascript buttons and Quick Action buttons are not supported on the enhanced Plan Detail page.

Price Books

If your products belong to active Salesforce Price Books, you can apply a price book to plan line items when you create them. For information about price books, see the "Prices and Price Books" topics in the Salesforce Help.

Resetting the Layout

To switch to the Salesforce version of a detail page:

  1. Click the settings icon Settings Icon.
  2. Click Switch to Salesforce Detail Page.

If you've made changes to the layout of the page and want to restore the default layout:

  1. Click the settings icon Settings Icon.
  2. Click Reset Layout in the Columns section.

Changing the Layout

You can change the layout of the plan lines on the Plan Detail page in these ways:

Moving Columns

To move a column:

  1. Drag the heading of the column that you want to move.
  2. Drop the column at the position you want. Two vertical arrows appear where you can drop the column:

Sorting by Column

To the sort the plans by column, do one of the following:

Showing and Hiding Columns

To show or hide columns:

  1. Hover over a column heading.
  2. Click the Drop-Down Icon icon.
  3. Select Columns.
  4. Select the checkboxes of the columns you want to display and clear the checkboxes of the columns you want to hide.
