Using the PSA Resource Filter Lightning Component

The Region, Practice, Group, Resource Role, and Start and End Date fields all default based on the equivalent values on the resource request. For more information, see Resource Request Detail Fields.

The Skill/Certification and Minimum Rating fields in the Skills filter all default based on any resource skill requests associated with the resource request. For more information, see Resource Skill Request Fields.

Filtering a List of Resources

To filter a list of resources:

  1. [Optional] In the Resource Name field, enter at least one character from the name of the resource. Resources associated with an account beginning with the same characters as those you enter for the resource name search might also be returned in any results.
  2. [Optional] Select a role from the Resource Role picklist.
  3. [Optional] Select the region, practice, or group you want to use in your search. You can select multiple regions, practices, and groups.
  4. [Optional] Select the corresponding checkbox to include all sub-regions, sub-practices, or sub-groups of the parent record in your search.
  5. [Optional] Use a set of skills or filter by individual skills and certifications to quickly filter resources by. For more information, see Creating Skill Sets.
  6. Click Apply to update the list of resources using the filter criteria specified.
  7. [Optional] Click Clear to remove all filter criteria values including skills and ratings with the exception of Start Date and End Date which are required fields and cannot be removed.
  8. [Optional] Click Reset to revert the filter criteria back to the default filter values.

Filtering a List of Resources by Skill Sets, Skills, and Certifications

Instead of filtering by individual skills or certifications, use a list of skills to quickly filter resources by. For more information, see Creating Skill Sets.

  1. Enter a minimum of one character in the Skill Set field to start the skill set search.
    1. Select a skill set.
    2. Click Apply Skill Set to add the skill set as a list of fields to the filter.
  2. Enter a minimum of one character in the Skill/Certification field to start the search and select an individual skill or certification to filter resources by.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select a minimum rating for the selected skill or certification.
    • Set the minimum rating to "None" to return resources with any rating for the selected skill or certification.
  4. Click Add Skill and select another skill or certification and a minimum rating for the selected skill or certification.
  5. Click Match Any to return resources who match at least one or more selected skills.
  6. Click Match All to return resources who match all selected skills at the specified rating.
  7. Click Apply to update the list of resources using the skills filter criteria specified.
