Customizing PSA Direct for Jira Field Mappings

PSA Direct for Jira provides default mappings that can be used out-of-the-box. Depending on your requirements, you can modify existing or create new mappings.

Notes:
  • When creating or changing mappings, make sure to map PSA fields to Jira Issue fields of the same type. For example, you must map a Boolean PSA field (checkbox or formula field) to a Boolean field in Jira.
  • Some field mappings might need to use a Data Transformation Table to provide the valid values for the fields. We provide data transformation tables for its default field mappings where necessary. For more information, see Mapping Default Records for PSA Direct for Jira Fields.

PSA Direct for Jira provides the following field mappings:

  • PSA Project to Jira Template Project
  • Jira Issue to PSA Project
  • Jira Issue to PSA Project Task
  • PSA Project to Jira Issue Fields
  • PSA Project to Jira Project
  • PSA Project Task to Jira Issue Fields

For more information about the default mapping records for each mapping, see Mapping Default Records for PSA Direct for Jira Fields.

Notes: You can map a PSA field to a Jira Issue field, using the PSA Direct for Jira Mappings Lightning page and Custom Metadata Types.
