Using Analysis Items in the Billing Document Integration

If you are using the Billing Document to Transaction integration, you can add Foundations analysis item fields to billing document headers and lines. The analysis item fields appear in the Analysis Information sections on the following objects:

  • Billing Document
  • Billing Document Line Item

The billing document header and line item analysis item fields can then be populated and included in Accounting transaction lines as dimension fields to enable accurate business analysis. Note:

Users must be assigned the following permission sets to create and add analysis items to billing documents and to create the corresponding Accounting Dimension values:

  • FDN Common Concepts - Analysis Item
  • FDN Common Concepts - Billing Documents
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension1
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension2
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension3
  • Accounting and Billing - Dimension4
  • Accounting and Billing - Transactions
  • Accounting Integrations

The data types supported for custom fields are:

  • Date
  • Date/Time
  • URL
  • Currency
  • Email
  • Number
  • Phone
  • Percent
  • Picklist
  • Text Area (Long)
  • Text Area (Rich)
  • Lookup (Record ID)
  • Checkbox
Note:

Analysis item field lookups are filtered to ensure that the analysis items available to add to a document belong to the correct analysis record type.
