Setting up Sequencing Error Messages

You can set up error message logging to help identify errors that can occur when generating sequence numbers. You can enable error message logging directly from the Foundations Setup page or from the publication record. When you have set up message logging, you can specify how long you want to keep sequencing error messages.

Foundations Setup Page

To set up sequencing error message logging from the Foundations Setup page:

  1. From All Tabs, click Foundations Setup.
  2. Click Publications & Subscriptions.
  3. In the Message Type column, navigate to the Document Sequencing message type.
  4. Click on the Not Enabled status in the ERP column.
  5. In the ERP/Logging.ERP Core.Document Sequencing panel, click the checkbox in the Publish column.
  6. Click Save.

Publication Record

To set up sequencing error message logging from the publication record:

  1. From All Tabs, click Foundations Setup.
  2. Click Publications & Subscriptions.
  3. From the Message Type column, select the Document Sequencing message type.
  4. Click Edit next to the ERP/Logging.ERP Core.Document Sequencing publication name.
  5. Select Enabled.
  6. Click Save.

Specifying Message Retention
