Embedding Dashboards on Region Practice Group and Resource Pages

You can use the Lightning App Builder dashboard embedding functionality to embed Utilization Analytics Dashboard on the Region, Practice, Group, and Resource pages. This helps you to view the utilization data for the respective record pages in a dashboard embedded within a tab in the page. This functionality is also available to Users who do not have PS Cloud Core Analytics or PS Cloud Advanced Analytics license.

Before embedding dashboards, ensure the Reverse ID Chain fields are created for Region, Practice, and Group objects and the Resource ID field is created for the Resource object and that these fields are available in the Utilization Results dataset output fields. The Reverse ID Chain fields will be used as the filter options when creating the dashboards for Region, Practice, or Group and the Resource ID field will be used as the filter option for Resource.

To create a custom tab in the applicable record page and embed a dashboard in it:

  1. Ensure you are in the Region, Practice, Group, or Resource record page.
  2. Navigate to Setup and click Edit Page, the applicable Record page is displayed in edit mode.
  3. Create a custom tab with a unique name, for example Utilization Analytics.
  4. In the Utilization Analytics tab, drag and drop the CRM Analytics Dashboard component.
Note: Ensure you provide a standard height for the Dashboard to fit properly into the tab area. We recommend a height of 1200 pixels.
  5. Add a Dashboard Filter by clicking on the Add Dashboard Filter option. The filters will ensure the dashboard represents information specific to Region, Practice, Group or Resource.
  6. In the Filter area, perform the following:
    1. Select Utilization Results as the Data Source.
    2. Select the applicable Reverse ID Chain from the Data Source Field drop-down list for Region, Practice or Group. For Resource, select Resource ID as the filter option.
    3. Select Contains from the Operator drop-down list.
    4. Click Select to select the object field.
      1. If you are in the Resource Page, in the Select Object Field window, select Contact ID and click Done.
      2. If you are in the Region, Practice or Group Page, in the Select Object Field window, select Record ID and click Done.
    5. In the Filter area, select the Locked checkbox and the Hidden checkbox to ensure the filters are not changed by any unauthorized user.
    6. Click OK to save the changes to the filters.
  7. In the App Builder toolbar, click Save to save the changes to the applicable record page.
  8. After the page is saved you will be prompted to activate the page.
  9. Click Activate to activate the page so that it is visible to the Users or click Not Yet, if you choose to activate the page later.
  10. You can activate a page later by navigating to the App Builder toolbar and clicking the Activation button.
  11. In the Activation window, click Assign as Org Default.
  12. In the Assign form factor window, select Desktop and click Next.
  13. In the Review Assignments window, review the assignment information and click Save.

Now you can access the Region, Practice, Group or Resource page to view the tab that you have created and the dashboard that you have embedded in the tab.
