Managing Resource Request Sets

To automatically update the fields below on all other resource requests in the resource request set, when a specific resource request is staffed, select use-resource-request-sets and then select Update Related Resource Requests on each resource request record in the set:

Linking Resource Request Sets

You must add the PSA Actions: Resource Request Details Lightning component to the Resource Request Lightning record page.

To manage a resource request set:

  1. On a Resource Request Lightning record page, click Actions | Resource Requests | Manage Resource Request Set.
  2. [Optional] In the Add Copies of Master Resource Request section, select the number of copies of the master resource request you want to add to the resource request set and click Add Copies.
  3. Select the checkboxes of the resource requests you want to link to the resource request set.
  4. Click Done. The resource request set is updated.

Deleting Resource Requests in Resource Request Sets

Note:

You cannot delete the resource request record from the set that you opened the Manage Resource Request Set window from.

To delete resource requests in a resource request set:

  1. On a Resource Request Lightning record page, click Actions | Resource Requests | Manage Resource Request Set.
  2. In the Manage Resource Request Set window, select the checkboxes of the resource requests you want to remove from the resource request set.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Done.

Adding Resource Requests to Resource Request Sets

To add resource requests to an existing resource request set:

  1. Click Create Resource Request Set on the detail page of a resource request that belongs to the resource request set to which you want to add resource requests.
  2. Select the number of copies of the master resource request to add to the resource request set.
  3. Click Add Copies of Master Resource Request.

Holding Resources for Resource Requests in Resource Request Sets

Once you have created a resource request set, you can hold a resource for each resource request in the set using the Assign Resource section of the Resource Request Detail page:

  1. Click the Resource Requests tab.
  2. Click the Resource Request Id that you want to hold resources for.
  3. Scroll to the Assign Resource section.
  4. Enter the information that you want to search for as described in Resource Request Fields.
  5. Click Refresh.
  6. [Optional] Click + to view the availability if the resource and edit the schedule. See Resource Details.
  7. Click Hold next to the resource that you want to hold.
  8. Repeat the steps for each resource request in the set.

Deleting Resource Requests in Resource Request Sets

To delete resource requests in a resource request set:

  1. Click Create Resource Request Set on the detail page of a resource request that belongs to the resource request set that you want to delete resource requests from.
  2. Select the checkboxes of the resource requests that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete Resource Requests.
