Assignment Field Sets

Here are the field sets contained within the Assignment object.

Assign Resource To Project Custom Fields

Enables you to define the following additional custom field types visible in the Assign Resource to Project feature:

  • Boolean
  • Date
  • Lookup
  • Number
  • Percent
  • Picklist
  • Text Area (255 characters)
  • Text Long
Note: We do not support lookup fields in a field set on the Assign Resource To Project Lightning window that reference more than one object. For example, the Owner lookup field on the Assignment and Project objects. In this instance, the field added to a field set does not display.

None. You can add additional fields that exist on the Assignment object.

Note: It is recommended to not add the Time Credited and Time Excluded fields to the field set because the information added to these fields is overridden when assignments are created.
Assignment Columns for Multiple Assignment Creation UI Enables you to define additional editable columns on the Quick Update Assignments page, which users see when they click Create Assignments on the Mass Assign Resources To Project and Mass Assign Projects To Resource pages. Mass Assign Resources To Project and Mass Assign Projects To Resource None. You can add additional fields that exist on the Assignment object.
Assignment Custom Lookup Column Enables you to define additional columns to display on the Assignment Lookup overlay. This field set must be referenced by the Assignment Custom Lookup Field Set setting. Mass Link Project Task Assignments with a Resource Request and an Assignment Assignment Name
Assignment Tooltip Field Set Enables you to define tooltip fields that display when users hover over an assignment. This field set must be referenced by the Assignment Tooltip Field Set setting. Resource and Project Planners  
Create Project From Template Alt Copy Assignment Fields Enables you to define the Assignment fields (if associated assignments exist) that are copied from the project template to the new project. These fields do not display on the CreateProjectFromTemplate Visualforce page. N/A None. You can add additional fields that exist on the Assignment object.
CreateProjFromTemplateAssignmentColumns Enables you to define the columns that display information in the Assignments section of the Create Project page when creating a new project from a project template. Create Project From Template page Assignment Name, Start Date, End Date, Billable, Bill Rate, Resource,Cost Rate.
LinkMethodologyAssignmentColumns Enables you to define the columns to appear on the Link Assignment To Methodologies page. Link Assignment To Methodologies Assignment Name, Resource, Project, Billable, Start Date, End Date.
LinkMilestoneAssignmentColumns Enables you to define the columns to appear on the Link Assignment to Milestones page. Link Assignment to Milestones Assignment Name, Resource, Billable, Start Date, End Date, Scheduled Hours.
LinkPhaseAssignmentColumns Enables you to define the columns to appear on the Link Assignment To Phases page. Link Assignment To Phases Assignment Name, Resource, Project, Billable, Start Date, End Date.
MassReassignAssignmentColumns Enables you to define the columns to appear when replacing resources for an assignment. Replace Resources Assignment Number, Assignment Name, Resource > Full Name, Resource > Resource Role, Start Date, End Date, Billable, Scheduled Hours.
Self Assignment UI Assignment Fields

Enables you to add or remove additional fields in the Assignment section on the Self-Assignment page.

Note:

The fields added to this field set must have the FLS permissions assigned.

Unfilled Resource Requests Assignment Columns Enables you to define additional columns on the Assignment Summary section of the Unfilled Resource Requests page. Unfilled Resource Requests Resource, Billable, Start Date, End Date.
