Resource Requests Overview
- In the View section, select an appropriate list view from the drop-down list to go directly to that list page, or click Create New View to define your own custom list view. List views enable you to display a list of records that match specific criteria.
- In the Recent section, select an item from the drop-down list to display a brief list of the top records matching that criteria. The choices are listed in the table.
- From the list, you can click any resource request id to go directly to its detail.
- Click New to create a new resource request.

You can use a resource request A means of asking for resources for a project or an opportunity. to ask for a resource before the start of a project A collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets..
On the New Resource Request page, you enter specific details to help identify the right resources for the project. You can add a workflow to the system to notify operations staff members when new resource requests are created.
You can assign resources to created resource requests, or directly to projects, as shown in the table below:

Rate Cards
You can create rate cards to automatically attach a suggested bill rate and average cost rate for a resource role on an account In this context, accounts are organizations or people that you conduct business with, such as customers or vendors. Account is a standard Salesforce object. Rate Card Discounts
You can apply a rate card discount percentage to unassigned or unheld opportunity and project resource requests. See Applying Rate Card Discounts.
