Setting up Datastream
Complete the following setup tasks before using Datastream.
Permissions
To access the Foundations Datastream tab or use Datastream features from a custom page, you must be assigned the FDN Datastream permission set. You must also have permission to edit the objects and fields referenced in the data you want to import.
To add the FDN Datastream Lightning component to a page, you must have access to create and update pages in the Lightning App Builder. For more information about Salesforce permissions, see the Salesforce Help.
Batch Settings
The default batch size is 600 records. If you need to change this, you can update the value in the FDN Datasteam custom setting. For more information, see FDN Datastream Settings.
For information about managing hierarchy custom settings, see the Salesforce Help.
Layouts
You can specify whether you want to provide Datastream features on custom pages as well as from the standard Foundations Datastream tab.
To do this, add the FDN Datastream Lightning component to the relevant custom pages in the Lightning App Builder.
When you add the FDN Datastream component to a page, you can optionally provide the following information:
- A title for the component to display on that page
- An object to ensure that only data related to that object is imported
For more information about the component properties, see FDN Datastream Fields.
For more information about using the Lightning App Builder, see the Salesforce Help.
