Selecting Item Options

Item options define items that can be sold in addition to or instead of the item. You can select item options on the customer quotation.

 To do so:

  1. Click | Select Item Options on the column fixed on the right, against the line item that you want to add the item options to. The Select Item Options window displays.
  2. Select the item options for the item master and click Proceed.
  3. Click Save. The selected item options are displayed below the item master on the customer quotation grid.

To delete any item option from the grid:

  1. Expand the item master and select the option.
  2. Click on the toolbar, and click Save.

You can also deselect the item option on the Select Item Options window, click Proceed, and then click Save on the toolbar to remove the item option from the customer quotation grid.

Notes:
  • When you delete a line item, all the related item options are also deleted.
  • When searching an item option from the toolbar on the grid, the item option is displayed on the grid without its item master.
  • By default, you can select only one item option in each option type. To select multiple item options at a time, ensure that you select the Allow Multiple Selection Of Options checkbox in the Advanced Quoting Settings. For more information, see Advanced Quoting Settings.
  • Some item options are selected by default when an item master is added to the customer quotation. For more information, see Creating Configurable Options in an Item Master
  • Once the item options are selected for an item master and you click Save on the customer quotation toolbar, the Item to Quote field is no longer editable.
  • If an item master is configurable, you can add options using the item options related list. For more information, see Adding Item Options to an Item Master
  • The toolbar actions to clone and group are disabled for the item option lines.
  • To clone or group any item option line along with its item master, select its item master line and then click to clone or to group as required.
  • While reordering the lines:
    • An item option cannot be moved outside its item master
    • If an item has options, it is dragged and dropped along with its options.
    • Line items cannot be moved to any item option lines
