Displaying Payable Invoice Details
Once you have located a payable invoice on the payable invoices home or list pages, click the payable invoice number to display the payable invoice detail page.
See Payable Invoice Fields for a description of the fields that make up a payable invoice.
The options available to you depend on your org's configuration and on the status of the selected invoice.
From here you can choose to:
- Click Edit to change selected details on the "In Progress" payable invoice.
- Click Save to save changes to the payable invoice.
- Click Duplicate to create a copy of "In Progress" payable invoice.
- Click Discard to discard an "In Progress" payable invoice.
- Click Post to post the payable invoice.
- Click Place on Hold to make a "Complete" payable invoice unavailable for payment.
- Click Release for Payment to make available for payment a "Complete" payable invoice that was on hold.
- Click Amend Details to change selected details on a "Complete" payable invoice.
- Click Convert to Credit Note to convert the invoice to a credit note.
- Click Calculate Tax to invoke the external tax calculation system to calculate the tax due for the payable invoice.
From here you can choose to:
- Click the underlined lookup fields to display the related object's details.
- Click Edit to change selected details on the "In Progress" payable invoice.
- Click Manage Expense Lines to manage your expense lines.
- Click Manage Product Lines to manage your product lines.
- Click Classic View to view the document in Classic Edition The view of the application that you see when you first install the base managed package..
- Click Classic Edit to edit the document in Classic Edition.
- Click Post to post the payable invoice.
- Click Amend Document to change selected details on the payable invoice.
- Click Discard to discard an "In Progress" payable invoice.
- Click Convert to Credit Note to convert the invoice to a credit note.
You may need to click Classic Edit to access some of these options.
Totals
If you are using Lightning Experience, a summary of totals is displayed on each payable invoice detail page. These totals are automatically updated each time you save new lines. The totals included are the following:
- Net Total
- Tax Total
- Withholding Total
- Invoice Total
Notes and Attachments
You can create, view, and edit notes and add attachments from the Notes & Attachments section. This section is used to attach any internal notes you want to retain about the record. For more information, see the Salesforce Help.
Related Lists
The related lists that you see are determined by your personal customization, by any customization your administrator One or more individuals in your organization who can configure and customize the application. Users assigned the System Administrator profile have administrator privileges. has made to page layouts or your permissions to view related data. You can click on individual items to display additional detail. Clicking New lets you directly add new items.
Matched Payments
If you are using Lightning Experience the Matched Payment tab displays details of all the documents that have been matched to the payable invoice.
Related Lists on a Custom Input Form
If you are viewing the document using a custom input form, any related lists that have been enabled on the form are displayed in a panel across the bottom of the page. For example:
The number indicates the number of items in that related list. Open and close a related list by clicking its name. When open, the panel expands to display the contents of that related list. Any available standard Salesforce buttons (such as New) are displayed across the top of the panel. Links to standard actions are displayed in the Actions column. Clicking on these buttons and actions may load standard Visualforce pages but will return you to the custom input form. You can also use the icons to expand and collapse the panel.
