The following new features have been introduced in the Summer 2024 release of Financial Statements.
If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Financial Statements Summer 2024. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.
Comparing Plans with Actuals
We have enabled the feature introduced in the Spring 2024 release of Financial Analytics that allows you to compare your plans data from Extended Planning and Analysis with your actuals data from the transactions and reporting balances included in the Financial Balances dataset. For this purpose, we have introduced the following enhancements.

Financial Plans Dataset
We have added the Financial Plans dataset to Financial Statements, which includes information about your plans from Extended Planning and Analysis.
After you have created the dataset, the data is combined with the data from the Financial Balances dataset when you create, upgrade, or reconfigure a Financial Statements app. The data from the Financial Plans dataset is updated every time you send a plan to this dataset from Extended Planning and Analysis.

Financial Statements Dataflow
We have added new nodes to the Financial Statements dataflow to combine the data from the Financial Plans with the data from the Financial Balances dataset. The Financial Balances dataset is then populated with the combined data.

Financial Statement Task Launcher
In this release, we have added the Financial Statements Task Launcher. This includes a task that enables you to create the Financial Plans dataset.

Deprecated Financial Statement Object
In Summer 2024, we have deprecated the Financial Statement object in the
We have updated the labels of the relevant items to identify them as deprecated. Due to Salesforce limitations, some labels might not be updated automatically in your org.
If you have not done so already, we recommend that you replace your financial statement records with Report Builder reports. For more information, see About Report Builder.
