Configuring Gantt Custom Settings

Use these settings to configure Gantt. See the descriptions in the table for information.

To open the custom settings list:

From Setup, in the Platform Tools section, click Custom Code | Custom Settings. Using Classic In section App Setup, click Develop | Custom Settings.
In the Custom Settings list, click the relevant type of setting.

The following table contains details of the Gantt settings in the Custom Settings list.

Gantt Global Settings

Use these settings to control the behavior of Gantt for all users in your organization.

Note:

We expect you to configure Gantt Global settings with an Organization Wide Default. You must not create role-level or user-level settings for batch sizes under this setting.

Respect Sharing When Deleting Tasks	If selected, sharing settings are respected when deleting project tasks in Gantt.	False
Respect Sharing When Editing a Project	If selected, you must have edit access to the project record to open Gantt in edit mode.	False
Save Project Task Batch Size	The batch size used when saving new and updated project tasks in Gantt. The default is set at a level where you should not encounter any errors when saving project tasks, but if you encounter errors, decrease the batch size. This reduces the number of project tasks that are saved simultaneously. If you do not encounter errors, you can increase the batch size to save more project tasks simultaneously, which increases the speed of saving changes.	400
Save Project Task Assignment Batch Size	The batch size used when saving new and updated project task assignments in Gantt. The default is set at a level where you should not encounter any errors when saving project task assignments, but if you encounter errors, decrease the batch size. This reduces the number of project task assignments that are saved simultaneously. If you do not encounter errors, you can increase the batch size to save more project task assignments simultaneously, which increases the speed of saving changes.	600
Show Create Assignments Button	When selected, shows the Create Assignments button in Gantt. For more information, see Gantt Buttons, Controls, and Fields.	True
Show Create Held Resource Request Button	When selected, shows the Create Held Resource Requests action that is displayed when you click the Create Assignments button in Gantt. For more information, see Gantt Buttons, Controls, and Fields.	True
Show Create Resource Requests Button	When selected, shows the Create Resource Requests action that is displayed when you click the Create Assignments button in Gantt. For more information, see Gantt Buttons, Controls, and Fields.	True
Show Equal Split Button	When selected, shows the Equal Split button on the Task Assignments tab of the Task Editor in Gantt.	True
Show Project Milestones Button	When selected, shows the Project Milestones button in Gantt. When deselected, the button is hidden and users are also prevented from double-clicking on a milestone to update it. For more information, see Gantt Buttons, Controls, and Fields.	True
Suppress Auto Link Assignment	When selected, allows you to change the default behavior of Gantt so that new project task assignments are not linked to existing assignments or resource requests.	False
