Hiding Action View Template Fields

You can hide fields so that they are not seen in your action view, but their data is still used:

1. In your action view template select the Hidden column checkbox for the field that you want to hide.
2. Click Save and Run.

The icon becomes orange to show that there are hidden items. When you click this icon, the dropdown list shows that the hidden field is not selected.

Note:

Content in hidden fields will not be displayed in your action view, even though included in the filtering.

The hidden fields behave as follows:

• When you filter your action view results, you can filter on the hidden field but the content of the hidden fields is not displayed.
• When you sort and group your action view results, you can still select your hidden fields as they are listed in the column dropdown list, but the field is not displayed in the results
• If you hide a column and then summarize the data, you cannot then sort on the hidden column because it's not part of the newly displayed data.
