Reconciliation Settings

Field

Description

Allow Transaction Auto Creation

Indicates that you can automatically create transactions during the reconciliation process.

For example, you can automatically create transactions for bank charges when reconciling your bank statements.

If you enable this setting, you should ensure that the Bank Charge Analysis, Interest Paid Analysis and Interest Received Analysis fields are populated on your bank accounts. For more information, see Bank Account Fields.

Allow Full Transaction Auto Creation

Indicates that all possible transactions are automatically created, posted, and matched during the reconciliation process. This setting automatically creates transactions for customer cash receipts as well as bank charges and interest payments when reconciling bank statements.

Warning:

If you have enabled this setting and transactions are automatically created, you must reconcile these transactions. If you do not reconcile them before closing the reconciliation, when you reopen it, duplicate transactions will be created for the unreconciled banks statement lines.

Default Transaction Type - Cash Entry If selected, the default transaction type for manually created transactions from bank statement lines is Cash Entry. This setting does not affect the transaction type for auto-created transactions.
Transaction Auto Creation Sync Limit The maximum number of transactions that can be automatically created synchronously by the Reconciliation process. The default value is 30.
