Upgrading to Extended Planning and Analysis Winter 2025

This page describes the changes to make when upgrading to Winter 2025.

Note:

Where new objects, fields, or buttons have been added for a feature, we recommend that you add them to any relevant page layouts, profiles, and permission sets. For information on how to do this, see the Salesforce Help.

To upgrade this feature to Winter 2025, take the following action.

Action Further Information

After upgrading, you are no longer able to send plans to existing Analytics datasets. To get around this issue:

  • Send all relevant plans to Analytics using new data sources. This creates new datasets in Analytics.
  • [Optional] In Analytics, delete any datasets that are no longer relevant.
  • [Optional] Delete any output data sources that are no longer relevant.

To upgrade this feature to Winter 2025, take the following action.

Make the following changes to the Data Source Layout page layout:

  1. Add the Plans related list.
  2. Add the Description field to the Plans related list.
  3. Remove the selected buttons from the Plans related list.

Make the following changes to the Data Source Layout page layout:

  1. Add the Plan Templates related list.
  2. Add the following fields to the Plan Templates related list: Description and Category.

From the Information section, remove the following fields:

  • Input Data Source
  • Owner

Make the following changes to the System Information section:

  1. Add the Owner field.
  2. Select the Detail Page checkbox in Related List Properties.
