New Features and Enhancements in Financial Analytics Winter 2025

The following new features have been introduced in the Winter 2025 release of Financial Analytics.

Enhancements to the CFO Overview Dashboard

The CFO Overview dashboard now enables you to compare the actual data with the Extended Planning and Analysis data. To use this feature, the new Extended Planning option has been added as the balance type. This option is also added to the Compare to filter in the global filters.

We have also created a new Default Scenario field in the Financial Balances dataset to include the default scenario when comparing the data.

To view the Extended Planning and Analysis data on the CFO Overview dashboard, create a Financial Plans dataset from the Business Analytics Task Launcher manually. For more information, see Using the CFO Overview Dashboard.

Financial Analytics Settings Custom Setting

We have updated the name of the Financial Analytics Settings custom setting to align it with its use to retrieve data for Engagement Analytics apps and the generation of audit files.
