Setting Up the PSA Mass Approval Component
The PSA Mass Approval component enables users to approve, reject, or reassign multiple records at once.
You can configure the Mass Approval component for use with any record type, providing an approval process has been set up. For more information about setting up an approval process, see Setting up Workflow and Approval Processes.
You can add the Mass Approval component to the following locations:
- App pages
- Experience Cloud Sites
- Home pages
- All record pages
- Utility bars
- Workspaces
To enable users to use Mass Approval, you must:
- Add the component to the relevant location
- Set up an approval process
- Assign permissions to users for the relevant object, and enable them to be a dedicated approver
- Assign field level permissions to users for the relevant object.
Objects might have a specific permission set required for approving certain records. This includes but is not limited to:
- PSA - Approve Expense Reports
- PSA - Approve Timecards
Refer to the permission set for your specific object to clarify which permissions are required to approve records.
For more information about an object's fields, refer to the field reference topic for your specific object. For more information about the fields and buttons located in the Mass Approval component, see Mass Approval Component Buttons and Fields.
When adding the Mass Approval component to a page in Lightning App Builder you select the object whose records require approval. You can add the Mass Approval component to the same Home page multiple times if you have different record types that require approval.
You must also enable the Allow Reassign checkbox in the Lightning App Builder to enable users to use the reassign feature. For more information, see Mass Approval Lightning Component Properties.
For more information about adding Lightning components in PSA, see the Salesforce Help.
