Zooming

To change the display of the Schedule pane:

View Description Actions and Notes
Day View in days.

Click Day in Project Task Gantt.

Note:

When a task's duration unit is hours and the Schedule pane is set to the "Day" zoom level, Project Task Gantt does not let you drag the task's start or end date to create a task duration of zero hours. The minimum must always be two hours. We recommend you make your changes with the zoom set to "Day Detail" in the Schedule pane.

To enable and use Day Detail view:

  1. In the tool bar of Project Task Gantt click Preferences Panel.
  2. Select the Display tab.
  3. Select the Enable Day Detail setting.
  4. In Project Task Gantt click Day Detail.
Fit View each project task in the Schedule pane. Click Fit in Project Task Gantt.
Locate View the selected tasks in the Schedule pane.

To select and locate tasks:

  1. Select the tasks you want in the Tasks pane.
  2. Click Locate.
Months View in months. Click Mo in Project Task Gantt.
Quarter View in quarters. Click Qtr in Project Task Gantt.
Today View the date range shown in the Schedule pane so that it shows today's date.

Click Today in Project Task Gantt.

Notes:

If the current date (Today) is in view when you change the zoom level, Today remains anchored in the same position. The time span display may increase to accommodate the anchored Today position. If Today is not in view when you change the zoom level, the centered date of the current visible date range remains anchored in the same position. The time span display may increase to accommodate the anchored centered date position.
Week View in weeks. Click Wk in Project Task Gantt.
