Timecards

You can use timecards to book time against projects. You must create a project with assigned resources before you can book time using a timecard
. If you have the necessary permissions, you can:
- Log timecards in time entry user interfaces. See Using Timecards.
- Book time to projects and assignments.
- Save, submit and recall timecards.
- Correct timecards or approve them outside the normal process using the Admin Edit button.
- Control whether resources enter their own time.
- Set up timecards for automatic or manual approval.
- Determine whether a missing timecard
is generated based on the status of the timecard.
Transaction records are created when you submit a timecard to allow the information to be rolled-up to assignments and milestones. If your administrator has configured the system to do so, an automatic email is sent to users with permission to approve the timecard.
When a timecard is approved, the numbers are rolled up to RPGs, Projects and Resources. Depending on configuration, this can generate and release billing event items to transfer the time to your financial system for invoicing.
Assignment Daily Notes
PSA records when assignment daily notes are created, deleted or modified and the person that made the change. The information is recorded in the Last Modified Date/Time and Last Modified By data on the assignment. If you have permissions, you can create workflows that provide email notifications when users enter assignment daily notes or modify them.
