Utilization Setup Fields

Here is a description of the fields on a utilization setup record.

Note:

We recommend that you keep the threshold values or the value of the Calculate Hours for Threshold Values checkbox consistent across the range of dates if you intend to report on your threshold values for capacity planning. Changing the threshold values or the value of the Calculate Hours for Threshold Values checkbox creates inconsistent data in utilization analytics. If the values are changed, rerun the utilization.

Setup Details

Field		Description	Default Value
Active		Indicates the utilization setup record used for each utilization run. You can only have one active utilization setup record.
Calculate Hours for Threshold Values		When selected, calculates the unheld resource request hours and weighted hours for the given threshold values.	Deselected
End Date		The end date of the utilization run when Specify a custom date range for Utilization is selected in the Utilization Period field.
Only Include Changes		When selected, only records from the earliest change are included in utilization runs.
Start Date		The start date of the utilization run when Specify a custom date range for Utilization is selected in the Utilization Period field.
Subtract Holidays From Calendar Hours		If selected subtracts government or public holidays from the calendar hours when performing a Utilization Run.	Selected
Timecard Statuses		Allows to choose the available timecard statuses and move it to the selected area. The selected timecard statuses will be included in the utilization runs.	Submitted, Approved
Utilization Period	*	The utilization period covered by each utilization run.
Utilization Setup Name		The utilization setup record identifier. The format is US followed by a generated number.

Threshold Values

Unheld Resource Request Batch Size	The maximum number of unheld resource request records to process in a single batch for a utilization run.	500
Utilization Result Batch Size	The maximum number of utilization result records to process per batch.	9,900
Utilization Run Monitor Interval	The frequency in minutes that the Utilization Run Monitor executes after a utilization run has started. The Utilization Run Monitor checks for uncatchable exceptions within the process, preventing the utilization run from processing indefinitely.	60
Work Calendar Batch Size	The maximum number of work calendars to process in a single batch for a utilization run.	300
