Creating an Estimate from a Quote

To create an estimate from a Salesforce RLM quote:

  1. From the Quote record page, Create Estimate.

    Note:

    You can't create an estimate from a quote if it is already associated with an estimate.

  2. Enter a name for the new estimate.
  3. Select a start date.
  4. [Optional] Select the Primary checkbox if this estimate is the primary version for this opportunity.
  5. [Optional] To use an existing estimate as a template, search for an estimate by entering one or more characters from the estimate name.
    6. Tip:

    To display only estimate templates, select the Templates Only checkbox. Only templates that meet the sharing settings are shown, up to a maximum of 200. Estimates without tasks or role requests are excluded.

  6. [Optional] If you don't want role skill requests copied from the selected estimate, deselect the Include Skills / Certifications checkbox. This option is selected by default.
  7. Click Create.
