Creating PSA Resource Requests

PSA resource requests enable you to request resources from PSA that can then be assigned to playbook tasks. They can be created for any playbook task that does not already have related resource requests or playbook task assignments.

Note:

To create a PSA resource request, you must have an active Customer Success Cloud project in PSA. For more information, see Creating a Customer Success Cloud Project.

To create a PSA resource request:

  1. On the playbook record, click Actions | Customer Success Cloud - PSA Connector | Request PSA Resource.
  2. In the Create PSA Resource Request window, select the Customer Success Cloud project for which you want to create resource requests.
  3. In the Playbook Task Selection section, select the tasks you want to create PSA resource requests for.
  4. [Optional] For consolidated tasks, click Show actions and click View Details to open the Playbook Task Details window. This displays which playbook tasks are consolidated within it.
  5. Click Create.
Notes:
  • If the CS Cloud project is not associated with at least one of the region, practice, or group, the resource request is not created.
  • PSA resource requests are not created when task hours exceed the average 24 hour daily limit.
  • In the Create PSA Resource Request window:
    • Region, Practice, and Group fields are read-only and populated based on the selected CS Cloud project.
    • Playbook tasks consolidate based on role and overlapping or adjacent dates.
    • When a consolidated task is selected, a single resource request is created for all the playbook tasks in it.
