Adding Resource Pool Members

You can add CS Cloud resources to resource pools using:

  • The Add Members button in the Resource Pool Management tab of the resource pool's record page
  • The New button in the Resource Pool Memberships related list of the resource pool's record page

A Resource Pool Membership record is created when adding resource pool members, which can be viewed in the Resource Pool Memberships related list on the pool's record page.

Note:

You can only add resources with the same role and region as the resource pool. You can add resources from any region if no region is associated with the resource pool.

You can add resource pool members in one of the following ways:

To add resource pool members from the Resource Pool Management tab of the resource pool's record page:

  1. On the Resource Pools tab, click the resource pool that you want to add members to. The resource pool's record page displays.
  2. On the resource pool's record page, click the Resource Pool Management tab.
  3. Click Add Members.
  4. Select the resources you want to allocate to the record or search for a resource using two or more characters that appear anywhere in the resource's name. To filter the list of available resources, click Open filters panel, select the required filter criteria, and click Apply. You can filter by CS Cloud resource. Only the resources that meet all the selected criteria display in the Available Resources table. Your filter selections are retained between browser sessions. To allocate all available resources to a resource pool, select the checkbox in the heading line. For more information about this window, see Add Resource Pool Members Window Fields.
  5. Click Add. The added resource pool members display in the Allocated Resources table.
Note:

When a region is associated with a resource pool, the Region filter field is auto-populated with the same region value.

To add resource pool members from the Resource Pool Memberships related list of the pool's record page:

  1. On the Resource Pools tab, click the resource pool that you want to add members to. The resource pool's record page displays.
  2. On the resource pool's record page, click the Related tab.
  3. Click New in the header of the Resource Pool Memberships related list.
  4. In the CS Cloud Resource field, search for and select the resource you want to add as a resource pool member or click New CS Cloud Resource to create a new resource to add to the pool.
  5. Click Save to save your selection or Save & New to save your selection and add another resource pool member. The added pool members display in the Resource Pool Memberships related list.
