Work Planner Lightning Component Properties

This table lists the component properties available in the Lightning App Builder for the following Work Planner components:

  • PSA Line Manager Work Planner
  • PSA Project Manager Work Planner
  • PSA Resource Work Planner
  • PSA Work Planner on a project record
  • PSA EC Work Planner (Experience Cloud sites only)

The PSA Work Planner component is available on the Work Planner Lightning app page provided by Certinia, or a custom Lightning page.

Note:

If you want to customize the Work Planner page by changing the Work Planner component properties, you will need to edit the Work Planner page. When you edit the page for the first time, Salesforce makes a copy of it in the background. This copy is what you edit in the Lightning App Builder.

The field set containing the custom fields that are displayed in the Details section on the Assignment tab of the Record Details panel. For more information on the Record Details panel, see Viewing Record Details.

If None is selected or a selected field set does not contain any valid fields, the following fields are displayed by default: Resource, Project, Role, Start Date, and End Date.

Enable Fill Handle If selected, values of multiple cells can be copied into other cells in the Allocation view. For more information, see Copying Schedule Values. Selected
End Date Offset (In Days)

The number of days from today to set the end date. Negative values indicate days earlier than today and positive values indicate days later than today.

Note:

The end date offset must be greater than the start date offset, with a difference of at least seven days.

Filter by Assignment Section Custom Fields Field Set

The field set containing the custom fields that are displayed in the Filter by Assignment section of the filter panel.

If the field set contains the Exclude from Planners field, this field is not displayed in this section of the filter panel.

This field is not available in the Record Work Planner.

If None is selected or a selected field set does not contain any supported fields, a default set of fields is displayed: Assignment and Is Billable.

Maximum Results Returned

The maximum number of assignments, held resource requests, and unheld resource requests that are each returned in the Work Planner. If this field is left blank, the data loaded in the Work Planner is determined by the default value.

In the Allocation view, click Load More to display assignments and resource requests grouped by project, resource or RPG incrementally until the maximum results returned limit is reached. This button is not visible in the Scheduler view.

Note:

If the value entered is outside the range of 1-2000, an error message is displayed.

Pixel Height The component height in pixels. You can enter a value from 100 to 10,000. 500 pixels
Project Details Custom Fields Field Set

The field set contains the custom fields that are displayed in the Details section of the Project tab on the Record Details panel. For more information on the Record Details panel, see Viewing Record Details.

If None is selected or the selected field set contains no valid fields, the following fields are displayed by default: Start Date, End Date, Region, Practice, Group, Account, Billable, and Project Manager.

Project Custom Column Field Set

The field set containing fields that are displayed when grouping assignments or resource requests by project in the Allocation view of the Work Planner components.

If None is selected or a selected field set does not contain any valid fields, the following fields are displayed by default:

  • Resource
  • Total Hours

This field set does not display selected fields when you group assignments or resource requests by region, practice, or group in the Work Planner.

Record Details Shortlisted Resources Custom Field Set

The field set containing the custom fields that are displayed in the Shortlisted Resources section of the Resource Request tab on the Record Details panel. For more information on the Record Details panel, see Viewing Record Details.

If None is selected or a selected field set does not contain any valid fields, the following fields are displayed by default: Resource Name, Resource Role, and Shortlist Status.

Record Details Tasks Custom Field Set

The field set containing the custom fields that are displayed in the Project Tasks section of the Resource Request and Assignment tabs on the Record Details panel. For more information on the Record Details panel, see Viewing Record Details.

If None is selected or a selected field set does not contain any valid fields, the Task Name, Start Date, and End Date fields are displayed by default.

Resource Request Details Custom Fields Field Set

Resource Custom Column Field Set

The field set containing fields that are displayed when grouping assignments or resource requests by resource in the Allocation view of the Work Planner components.

If None is selected or a selected field set does not contain any valid fields, the following fields are displayed by default:

  • Project
  • Availability
  • Total Hours

This field set does not display selected fields when you group assignments or resource requests by region, practice, or group in the Work Planner.

Restrict Edit Schedules in Past Date

If selected, restricts the editing of schedules for assignments and resource requests when the date is in the past.

  • In the Allocation view, you are prevented from entering schedules for assignments and resource requests with a date in the past.
  • In the Scheduler view, you are prevented from selecting schedules when you drag the scheduler bar to a date in the past.

Restrict Resource Filter

In the Line Manager Work Planner: If selected, line managers can only view their own records and the records of their direct reports.

In the Resource Work Planner: If selected, enables a resource to view only their records.

Note:

The Filter by Resource filter section is hidden from the filters panel of the Resource Work Planner. Resources can view their records from the Details panel.

Hide Shortlists Section

If selected, and the user has the relevant permissions assigned for shortlists:

  • The Shortlists section is hidden for resources in the Allocation view, when grouped by resource.
  • The Exclude Shortlists checkbox is hidden in the Filters panel.

If you deselect this property, the section and checkbox are shown.

Schedule Used for Date Changes

Enables you to select the schedule to use when changing the start or end dates of assignments and resource requests in the Allocation view. There are the following options:

  • Weekday Schedule: Uses the assignment's or resource request's weekday pattern and the resource's work calendar to calculate the changes to the hours and duration:

    • Earlier start date: The end date is unchanged. The duration and hours are increased.
    • Later start date: The end date is unchanged. The duration and hours are reduced.
    • Earlier end date: The start date is unchanged. The duration and hours are reduced.
    • Later end date: The start date is unchanged. The duration and hours are increased.
  • Schedule Using Start Date: Uses the duration and pattern of the assignment's or resource request's schedule relevant to the start date to calculate the changes to the hours and duration:

    • Earlier start date: The end date is moved by the same amount. The duration and hours are unchanged.
    • Later start date: The end date is moved by the same amount. The duration and hours are unchanged.
    • Earlier end date: The start date is unchanged. The duration and hours are reduced.
    • Later end date: The start date is unchanged. Values of zero hours are added to the extra days. The resource manager can add hours, if needed.
Weekday Schedule
Smart Rescheduling

If selected, enables you to view the predicted hours variance percentage for your project, and view and apply suggested adjustments to the future hours of your project's resources to the Record Work Planner.

Notes:

Smart Rescheduling is only available in the Record Work Planner.
