Configuring Requirement Sets, Requirements, and Responses

To create a scoping requirement set:

  1. Go to the Scoping Requirement Sets tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a name for the scoping requirement set.
  4. Select the estimate product that is requirement set relates to.
  5. [Optional] Select the Active checkbox if you want this requirement set to be displayed when adding the estimate product to a scoping session. Only one requirement set can be active per estimate product.
  6. [Optional] Enter a description for the scoping requirement set.
  7. Click Save.

To create a scoping requirement:

  1. Go to the Scoping Requirement Sets tab and click the requirement set that you want to edit.
  2. On the requirement set's record page, go to the Setup tab and click Add Requirement.
  3. Enter a section name for the requirement.
  4. Enter a name for the requirement.
  5. [Optional] Add display conditions for the requirement.
  6. [Optional] To create more requirements, click Add on the requirement and Insert Requirement Below.
  7. [Optional] To add additional sections, do one of the following:

    1. Click Add Section to add a section to the bottom of your list.
    2. Click Add on the section and then Insert Section Below to insert a section below the current one.
  8. Repeat steps 2-7 to add all requirements required.
  9. Click Save.

To add responses to a scoping requirement:

  1. Go to the scoping requirement you want to add responses to.
  2. Click Add on the requirement and do one of the following:

    1. Click Add Multiple Choice Response.
    2. Click Add Custom Response. You can only add one custom response to each requirement. These are added to the bottom of the requirement's responses.
  3. Enter the response name. When adding a custom response:

    1. Enter a target object.
    2. Enter a target field.

      Note:

      The response name is the title of the field the estimator sees in the scoping session when completing the custom response.

  4. [Optional] Select the Default Response checkbox.
  5. Repeat steps 1-3 to add all necessary responses to scoping requirements.

To reorder the elements in your requirement set, you can:

  • Drag and drop sections.
  • Drag and drop requirements between sections.
  • Drag and drop requirements within the section they currently belong to.
  • Drag and drop responses within the requirement they belong to.
Notes:
  • You cannot drag responses into requirements that they do not belong to.
  • You cannot move custom responses by dragging and dropping due to their placement by default.
  • You cannot place multiple choice responses below a custom response.
