Guided Scoping Overview
Guided Scoping helps you create estimates efficiently and consistently by answering preconfigured questions about your estimate requirements.
Administrators configure Guided Scoping by adding relevant questions (requirements) to estimate products. These requirements aim to enable estimators to create the most accurate estimate. Estimators then add the estimate product into a scoping session, displaying the defined requirements and responses. By responding to requirements, you can efficiently address the predefined requirements during scoping sessions, which results in an accurate estimate.
Administrators can also configure actions and display conditions on requirements and responses.
Responses can also be automatically generated using generative AI based on the Generate Scoping Requirement Responses prompt template. For more information, see Guided Scoping Using Generative AI Overview.
An estimate and its related records are automatically created to align with the requirement responses, which are defined by actions. For more information about setting up guided scoping, see Setting up Guided Scoping.
The following flow shows how you can use guided scoping to create an estimate.
