New Features and Enhancements in WorkGrid Winter 2026

The following new features have been introduced in the Winter 2026 release of WorkGrid.

If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to WorkGrid Winter 2026. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.

If you are upgrading from a version earlier than September 2025, check the documentation for previous releases for upgrade details.

Generate Plan Calculations Using Formula Builder AI Assistant

You can now use the Formula Builder AI Assistant to streamline the creation of complex plan calculations. This enhances efficiency by eliminating the need for manual formula construction and making the process of setting up calculations both faster and less error-prone. For more information, see Generating Plan Calculations Using AI Assistant.

New Plan Fields

The following picklist fields have been added to the Plan object:

  • Category
  • Subcategory
  • Label

For more information, see Plan Fields.

Work Seamlessly with Multiple Units of the Same Type

If you work with multiple units of the same type, for example, with multiple currencies, you can now benefit from an improved workflow.

Calculations

We have improved how calculations with multiple units work. If the plan is linked to a rate table with the relevant conversion rates, you can now:

  • Add or subtract cells with different units of the same type
  • Add fixed values to or subtract fixed values from a cell with a unit using the Formula Builder
  • Use aggregate functions, such as SUM and AVG, with different units of the same type

We have also improved the error messages that display when a calculation cannot be performed.

Note:

If you are upgrading from an older version, existing values are not automatically recalculated. This might cause discrepancies with new calculations. As a workaround, we recommend that you clone the existing plans or create new scenarios within the existing plans.

For more information, see Planning Units in Calculations.

Standardization Unit

If you apply a standardization unit to a plan, the unit now becomes the working unit for the plan. This means that, while the standardization is active, all the values you interact with in the plan are converted to the standardization unit using the relevant rates from the related rate table. If you edit a value in the standardization unit, it is converted back into the cell's original value when you save the changes. This applies when you:

  • Edit a value directly in a cell
  • Copy a cell and paste it over another cell
  • Make an adjustment to a cell's value
  • Allocate amounts across cells
  • Update the plan with the latest data from Analytics
Notes:
  • Even with a standardization unit applied, the formula bar still displays the value of the cell in the original unit.
  • You cannot import values from an XLSX file when unit standardization is enabled.
