Setting up Services Credits Business Units
You must complete the following steps when setting up services credits business units for the first time.
Step 1: Assign Permissions
Ensure you assign the relevant permissions to users, as follows:
- The PSA - Manage Services Credits Customer Purchases permission set to users who need to manage business units and edit the Business Unit field on services credits customer purchases.
- The PSA - Create Projects permission set to users who need to view business units, edit the Business Unit field on projects, and edit the Services Credits Business Unit Override field on milestones.
- The PSA - Manage Services Credits Allocations permission set to users who need to view business units, edit the Business Unit field on services credits customer purchases and projects, and view the Services Credits Business Unit Override field on milestones.

Step 2: Add Fields to Page Layouts
Add the required fields to existing page layouts:
- Add the Services Credits Business Unit field to the Services Credits Customer Purchase Layout on the Services Credits Customer Purchase object.
- Add the Services Credits Business Unit field to the Project Layout on the Project object.
- Add the Account and Services Credits Business Unit Override fields to the Milestone Layout on the Milestone object.

Step 3: Create Services Credits Business Units
To begin using services credits business units, you must first create services credits business unit records. Once created, business units can be assigned to specific services credits customer purchases and projects. For more information, see Creating a Services Credits Business Unit.
