If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading to Revenue Management Winter 2026. This provides a summary of the items that have been added for each feature and details of any required upgrade steps.
If you are upgrading from a version earlier than Spring 2025, check the documentation for previous releases for upgrade details.
Improvement in the Revenue Recognition Table for Revenue Management
We have introduced the Recognition Management page, with an Analytics summary table, as a powerful alternative to the existing Recognition Summary table on the Revenue Recognition tab.
The new Analytics dashboard offers a significantly more comprehensive and unified view of your recognition schedules. You can access all scheduled, recognized, and remaining amounts, along with progress metrics, in one place with the updated recognition table.
The new Recognition Management grid provides greater visibility with advanced dynamic filtering. This feature allows you to effortlessly organize and segment your data by any field in the dataset, for example, by project, scheduled period, currency, account, recognition source, or source record —ensuring you can quickly target the exact schedules you need for analysis or processing.
For more information, see Revenue Recognition Page and Recognition Management Page.
Quickly Access Insights with Recognition Management New Grid Additional Functionalities
We have added a Create App button to the Recognition Management page. Selecting this button automatically starts installing the Revenue Management Analytics App, which includes essential dashboards, recipes, and datasets. You can check the installation progress or if the Revenue Management Analytics App installation is complete via Setup | Auto-Installed Apps. Additionally, if you have an Analytics license, you can also access it through Analytics Studio. This app allows for immediate insight into your recognition schedules.
For more information, see Creating an App from Revenue Management Analytics App Template.
Customized Revenue Recognition User Interface
We have made the Revenue Recognition User Interface more customizable.
Creation of Zero Value Journals
You can now create zero-value journals when the balance of the Recognition Transaction Lines is equal to zero. To control this, we have added an Enable Zero Value Journal Creation field in the Revenue Management Settings custom setting. By default this field is deselected, meaning that zero-value journals are not created.
Journals for zero-value revenue amounts are only created when a recognition transaction with a balance of zero has lines with non-zero Amount Recognized values (i.e. there are revenue amounts on the transaction but they balance to zero). If a recognition transaction with a balance of zero has no lines with revenue amounts, no zero-value revenue journal is created because there are no revenue amounts on the transaction.
Journals for zero-value cost amounts are only created when a recognition transaction with a balance of zero has lines with non-zero Amount Amortized values (i.e. there are cost amounts on the transaction but they balance to zero). If a recognition transaction with a balance of zero has no lines with cost amounts, no zero-value cost journal is created because there are no cost amounts on the transaction.
