CS Region Overview

The CS Region represents a geographic area where business operations take place. Regions are structured as an independent hierarchy based on the parent region field, allowing for parent and child records of the same type to exist in a hierarchy. Furthermore, you can associate a CS region with:

  • CS Cloud resources
  • Resource pools
  • Playbooks

Associating CS Regions with CS Cloud Resources

You can associate the CS regions with CS Cloud resources from the CS Cloud Resource page or the CS Region related tab on the CS region record page. For more information, see Resourcing Overview and CS Cloud Resource Fields.

CS Region Hierarchy

The region hierarchy provides a structured representation of all regions, helping you understand their relationships. Each region has a hierarchy depth, indicating its position relative to others, with independent regions at level zero and deeper hierarchies extending up to 14 levels. You can create parent and child regions, and any updates or deletions impact associated records accordingly. Fields like Hierarchy Depth, Region Hierarchy ID Chain, Reversed Hierarchy ID Chain, and Region Hierarchy Name Chain are automatically updated in case of any update to the region record.

For more information, see CS Region Hierarchy.
