Adding a Comment to a Plan Cell

If you have read and write access to a plan, you can add comments to cells that contain values.

Note:

To add a comment to a plan cell, you must be assigned the Add Cell Comments feature permission via a feature access rule.

To add a comment:

  1. Open the plan scenario that contains the cell to which you want to add a comment.
  2. Right-click the cell where you want to add the comment.
  3. Click View Comments. The Comments panel displays the existing comments in the cell.
  4. If the comment thread was previously resolved, click Show Menu in the header above the comments and then click Reopen. This reactivates the thread and enables you to enter a comment.
  5. Enter your comment.
  6. [Optional] If you want to mention another user, enter @, then search for and select the user you want to mention.

    Note:

    Only users with a WorkGrid license display in the list.

  7. Click Comment or press Enter. The comment is added to the thread.
  8. In the plan table toolbar, click Save. Your comment is saved, along with any other changes to the plan scenario. If you mentioned a user, they might be notified by email and a Salesforce notification, depending on how your org is set up.
